Usui Reiki Level 1 is sometimes called First Degree Reiki. It is where you learn about Reiki, receive four Level 1 attunements and learn the Reiki hand positions to heal yourself and others. Reiki is often described like a muscle; the more often you use it the stronger it seems to become.
Many people feel compelled to learn Reiki for a variety of reasons such as: wanting to feel more in control of their wellbeing, to help others, to add value to their life’s or as part of their spiritual journey. I learnt Reiki simply to help my brother who was ill at the time and with no idea that one day I would end up becoming a Reiki Master, having my own healing business or teaching others Reiki.
Choosing the right teacher is important; as well as finding someone who can teach you when you are available to learn. There are internet courses that may be appealing, but please be aware that insurance companies may not cover a Reiki internet qualification. Also internet courses may not include the important and necessary Reiki attunement in the price, so you find you only have a manual and are still needing to find and pay for a Reiki Master who is prepared only to provide the Reiki attunement.
The Reiki Level 1 course I offer is taught by myself. I am a fully qualified and insured Reiki Master and teacher. I can actually trace my training lineage to the original founder of Reiki in Japan. I am trained in the traditional Japanese Reiki called Usui Reiki. I also am a trained Energy Healer, so I see auras, chakras and energy blockages, which many students find reassuring, especially during the practical section of the day when they are learning to heal themselves and others.
I run the Reiki Level 1 healing course over one day – on a weekday or at the weekends. It is pretty intensive but more convenient for most people as they can use their day off, precious holiday leave or simply find it fits around family life and childcare.
First Degree Reiki Level One Healing Course
This is a day course and is run on a regular basis. Weekdays typically start at 9.30am and at weekends 10.30am with a later finish. Classes are run on a one to one basis or to a maximum of four unqualified Reiki students.

Many students do not own a therapy bed of their own and it can be an expensive outlay unless using it professionally. I therefore teach students to heal others with a therapy bed and more practically without – just simply where the person receiving healing is sat in a chair.
At the end of the day you will be fully qualified to Level 1 – First Degree in the Usui Method of Natural Healing. You will receive a Reiki Level 1 certificate to confirm this.
Price of Learning Usui Reiki Level 1 and Qualification

When is the next Reiki 1 Training Day?
The course dates are set to the meet the availability of students as well as my own. They are held on a regular basis midweek and at weekends. It is best to simple call or contact me to find out when the next one is or let me know which dates you are free. Once a date is announced there are usually others who want to join.
What Time Delay Should There Be Between Learning Reiki 1 and Reiki 2?
After becoming qualified at Reiki Level 1 it is generally recommended that a gap of 1-3 months occurs before you take Reiki 2. This give you time to work with the energy. The more you use it the more intense it seems to become. It also gives you time to heal yourself. Simply Reiki 1 should be seen as allowing you to self heal you whereas Reiki Level 2 is where you learn the Reiki symbols and are qualified to heal the general public and provide distance Reiki healing.
Reiki Refresher Course
If you are already qualified in Reiki Level 1 elsewhere but feel that you need to retrain, refresh your knowledge or feel you lack the confidence in using your Reiki healing ability please give me a call.
After learning Reiki 1
I try and run a free follow up event so recently qualified Reiki 1 students can come together. Please note I cannot always guarantee to offer a date to suit everyone’s availability.
I look forward to hearing from you. If you need any further information please do not hesitate to contact myself
kind regards
