In your Reiki Level 1 training, you learnt to heal yourself and to develop your Reiki energy. Then you most likely began to experience healing your family and friends with Reiki. Now you are wanting to learn more. To find out about the healing symbols and how to use them, to discover how to heal from a distance and maybe even to gain your Reiki Level 2 qualification to heal the public. For some students they have a compelling need to learn Reiki 2, often called the Practitioner’s Qualification, without truly knowing why. It is as if their soul wants them to develop more with Reiki.
When to Learn Reiki Level 2
You are normally expected to wait one to three months after your Reiki Level 1 training before you begin Reiki Level 2. For some students it can be a bit infuriating having to wait, but actually it is to give you the time for your own healing. Let’s be honest most people being healed would like someone to have spent time healing themselves first. The practice of healing is that of becoming whole on all levels of being – including the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels. Illness is sometimes said to occur when the mind, body and spirit become imbalanced
Also, Reiki is like a muscle, the more your practice using it the stronger the energy becomes. Healing yourself over a few months and then in time your friends and family, allows you to get more accustomed to the Reiki energy and how to flows. You strengthen your experience in identifying areas of the body in need of healing and where to concentrate your efforts, especially if limited on time in a healing session.
What the Reiki Level 2 Training Day Covers
The Reiki training workshop is a one day course. It covers:
- Recapping Reiki 1 and practise of Reiki
- Principles of Reiki 2
- Reiki 2 attunements
- Reiki 2 symbols and methods of using them
- Practise of symbols and healing methods
We cover healing from a chair and a therapy bed. This is important as not everyone owns a therapy bed. But also if you do end up working as a Reiki therapist, not all clients can lie on a bed for a healing appointment. They may have back issues, limited mobility or simply prefer not to. You might have to heal from a wheelchair. Knowing how to do both methods will help you feel more confident and be able to adapt to the needs of the individual requiring the Reiki.
The Reiki 2 day is informative and fun. We do one or two meditations on the day assuming that students have little or no meditation experience. They are simple meditations such as a guided meditation, using a mantra (repeating a couple of words) or chanting the healing sounds of the main energy centres (chakras) within your body.
The Teaching the Reiki Training Course
The day is taught by myself, an experienced and fully qualified Reiki Master Teacher. I can trace my Reiki training lineage back to the original founder of Reiki, Usui, in Japan. Mrs Hawayo Takata then took Reiki to Hawaii and trained some Reiki Masters, one of these being her Granddaughter, Phyllis Lei Furumoto. I am from the Grandaughter’s Reiki lineage. Reiki used to be taught mainly orally and through demonstration and practical exercises. It is only in recent years that it has developed with training courses offering supporting written manuals and brochures.
I have my own private healing practice, Culcheth Healing, which has clients from across the North West of England. I also have Distant Healing clients across the world. I teach Reiki up to and including Master Level. I also have started writing more articles for websites and magazines.
Over the years I have been healing clients I have gained a wealth of experiences, so can use this knowledge to help students in their learning and development. Some of my former students now have careers offering Reiki healing to the general public. They are still in touch with me which is lovely.
Where the Reiki Training Course is Located
The Reiki training event is held in my therapy/training room in Culcheth. Previous students have traveled from across the North West. It seems to help that Culcheth is only 5 to 10 minutes away by car from the M62, M6 and A580, so making it easier and more practical to get to.
The Price of the Reiki Training Workshop
The price of the training day and qualification is £125. This is £25 deposit and the remaining £100 paid on the day itself. The training payment covers the training, the accompanying written material to take home, your Reiki Level 2 attunement, refreshments and your Reiki Level 2 certificate. You simply need to bring your lunch and a pen for any extra notes you might want to take.
