Sometimes it can seem in the West that we look after our cars better than own bodies. We fill our beloved cars with the correct fuel, check the pressure and tread of our tyres, top up the oil and screen wash and take our cars for regular MOTs. We do this to ensure their reliability as we are trying to avoid any breakdowns and costly repair bills.
We find it hard to justify spending money on our body’s maintenance. When we do it tends to be where we can see instant tangible feel good results such as our hair, spray tans, botox, false nails and tattoos. We want to feel better straight away, even though inside we might not be feeling at peak performance.
It is important that we find time to look after our internal body. In the East it is part of their tradition to maintain and keep a healthy body through practices which protect the body’s energy flow: such as yoga, tai chi, reiki and meditation. Employers also recognise that for a productive workforce it is important to have healthy staff. The medical profession are there to keep patients healthy; a poorly performing doctor is one with many sick patients.
Like most Reiki and Energy Healers, I would love to see people when they are well to maintain their wellbeing. However, it is more common for me to see people when they are unwell, as that is when the urgency arises. The good news is that both Reiki and Energy healing work in conjunction with your current medication. The treatments are there to help remove any energy blockages and to rebalance your energy flow to help get you on the path of recovery. You can find energy tips on my website to help maintain your body’s natural healthy energy flow which I am happy to discuss within your appointment as part of your aftercare advice.
